  Both rails have identical profiles:
  • Minimum Height of 0.370 / 9.3mm tall to Max of 0.650 / 16mm tall depending on barrel diameter.

  • Tolerance held is + / - 0.001 (less than the thickness of a piece of paper).

• 360 Degree Rotation: This mount is able to spin 360 degrees around the barrel to give you the greatest diversity in mounting angle and position. Accommodates any Weaver Scope Ring or Picatinny Accessory.
  

  Less Shadow Effect: The ability to attach the MFI Barrel Mount to the end of the barrel reduces the SHADOW EFFECT to near ZERO. Other Rail Systems end far short of the front site (on an AR15 / M16) which leaves more than 6+ inches of barrel for the peripheral portion of the beam. This shadowing can hide up to 30% of your target area. Obviously vital if an enemy happens to be in that blind spot.

  

  More Adjustment for Lasers: As the MFI Barrel Mount attaches directly to the barrel with as little rise as possible makes for the optimal position to allow for greater adjustment latitude for windage and elevation.

  Bullet Impact Retention of Zero: Being mounted directly to the barrel any laser should retain zero no matter how hot the barrel gets. A laser mounted to RIS that free floats the barrel will not move from barrel vibration or heat. Thus as the barrel changes in temperature and thus the trajectory a non barrel attached weapons targeting platform will not necessarily retain zero. Likewise a laser mounted to the barrel will shift and react to those changes and thus retain zero to a higher degree.

  Tapered Barrel: It does NOT matter if your barrel has a taper to it as our 4 way clamp will lock tight to most any configuration. Ideal for HK G3 / HK91 / JLD PTR-91.

  Minimum Increase in Weapons System Profile: We have also kept the rise in the rail as low as possible so NOT to increase the profile of the weapon. When compared to a Knight's Armament RIS or other similar manufacture full RIS / RAS the MFI Barrel Mount has a lower profile by at least ¼ of an inch (6.0mm) resulting in a far less cumbersome weapons system.
