RAILS / RIS: The top rail is made of the same polymer as the receiver and is not metal as this reflects the way the real weapon is. All other rails are made of metal and ALL RAILs will take any Picatinny or Weaver type base mount. These RIS rails attach to the weapon the same way the real ones do (and by the way will fit the real weapon too) via a two small bolts that go into the hand guard on either side. Note that on the standard G36C supplied by Marui you get ONLY the carry handle upper rail and the lower rail on the hand guard. To best accommodate our valued customer MFI offers FREE SIDE G36C RAILS to any customer who bought a G36C from us and is ordering an accessory that could be used on one of these rails. So to clarify this: If you buy an airsoft G36C from MFI and at the same time (or later) you purchase a flashlight or laser from us you get a FREE SIDE RAIL with every accessory you buy. Buy one flashlight get one rail. Buy a flashlight and a laser you get 2 rails... FREE!

SPECIAL NOTE ON SIDE RAILS: Both Marui and HK have side rails available for the G36C. Both of these manufactures use PLASTIC as the material of choice. Actually it appears now that HK is moving to metal side rails as well due to requests from Law Enforcement. MFI feels that the Marui plastic is an inferior material for this application. While we do not pretend to out think the original manufactures we do in this case prefer the more durable material that we use on all our MFI rails which is Aircraft Grade Aluminum. To us stronger is always better. Additionally the MFI 4" side rail that fits BOTH Real and Airsoft G36Cs also can be used PLUG AND PLAY on any Real or Airsoft M16 variant WITHOUT any modification. This means you can more your G36C side rail to the lower hand guard of any M16 in a matter of minutes. Or is you have any other weapon that you have previously drilled holes in the hand guard to accept the rail you can also move it to that weapon as well! Our rails come with all necessary attachment hardware as well for either weapons system!

FLASH SUPPRESSOR: Flash Suppressor is of the new style for offensive use (like the real ones) as a jabbing item. In the past 4 years Law Enforcement and Military Training has adopted the use of the barrel or muzzle of a weapon as an offensive tool to slam into the face, neck, and chest or where ever a vulnerable spot opens up on a perpetrator. The open ended (not closed bird cage style) style of the flash suppressor is slightly pointed (no rounded) to do moderate damage to the target without killing them.

STOCK: The shoulder stock is a side folder to the right side as on the real weapon and a rubber butt-plate is attached. The butt stock opens and locks similar to an AK74 Krinkov in that you have a push button to unlock it from the open position and when it folds completely over, the stock makes contact with a locking mechanism / lever release which also doubles as a brass deflector. This operation is identical to the real thing. Like the real thing the Marui G36C has had the stock tested (up to 200 lbs) of pressure which provides more than ample strength. The butt plate / cap is made of soft / comfortable / very durable rubber which is identical to the real G36.

SLING SWIVELS: Front sling swivel points are metal and are found on both the right and left side just below the flash suppressor which is also part of the gas block housing. These are standard HK style eye loops that require a HK style sling hook and they are included with all MFI G36Cs FREE OF CHARGE!

Rear sling swivels are found on the center stock area (round circle on the inside triangle similar to a real SIG 550 and SIG 551) and again on the left hand side near the stock catch release. Click here to see photos:

SIGHTS: Sights are adjustable for windage and elevation and are metal. The rear site has a flip up peep site which gives you a choice of hole size for smaller aperture / minute of angle. The front site is fixed and hooded for faster target acquisition.

SELECT FIRE SWITCHES: Selector switches are the new style found on the real weapons for HK like the SL-8 and HK G11 which appears to be backwards but, in practical use we have found this to be more comfortable and far more ergonomic then the ones on the MP5s. The gun has safe, semi-auto and full auto, just like the real thing.

MAGAZINES: The standard magazine houses 50 bbs and a number of real looking cartridges. This is not the first time that Marui has used a see through mag. See through magazines were first seen on the Airsoft AUG SP & AUG Army then the Airsoft SG 550 and 551. But it was not until the Airsoft P90 that Marui added the real cartridge look. What is new here on the G36C is that these cartridges are METAL and are thus more realistic. Not only are they metal, but unlike the Airsoft P90 cartridges the Airsoft G36C's have what appears to be arsenal markings & caliber markings on the rims! A really nice and unexpected touch. Hi-Capacity (470 bbs) mags are available and do NOT have any fake cartridges in them. They will have the built in magazine connectors on them as does the real thing. (Again the real thing has these and Marui copies them… thus the statement above about how real weapons often facilitate the airsoft versions.) Yes you can see the bullets and the depressed follower and spring just below as you would on a real weapon. You can NOT see any sign of the bbs in the mag.

COCKING HANDLE: As on most airsoft guns this feature does not actually do anything as on the real weapon. It is there mostly just to make you feel good. As on the real gun, you'll find that the cocking handle can be operated by left-handed and right-handed shooters alike. The adjustment for the hop-up setting is found under the ejection port as on many of the previous release from Marui.

RECEIVER: The receiver is internally comprised of a metal frame which supports the mech box and barrel as one unit. The lower receiver (as on the real weapon) is a material similar to ballistic nylon in weight and feel but, also has metal inserts to give added support and rigidness. The rigidness of the body really shows this fact.

A little background on the real weapon: The extensive use of synthetic materials is among the most noteworthy characteristics of the G36. H&K were pioneers in the use of synthetic materials back in the 1960s and 1970s, and with the G36 they prove that they still are. The G36 is the first production rifle to have a receiver made from a polymer compound. In fact, the only metal parts are the barrel, gas piston, bolt assembly, mainspring, retaining pins, receiver rails and a number of minor components inside the trigger housing. The use of synthetic materials results in a rifle with a very low weight and a high degree of resistance to wear and corrosion. The Receiver, stock, forearm, carrying handle and trigger housing are all made from a special high-strength injection-molded polymer (apparently Nylon 66), reinforced with microscopic carbon fibers. This material combines high resistance to corrosion, wear, chemicals and radiation with low weight, great strength and high dimensional stability. The receiver has molded-in stainless steel rails, on which the bolt assembly reciprocates. All metal parts subjected to friction are given a special coating, which also helps protect against corrosion. The cold hammer forged barrel is made from corrosion resistant chrome steel, internally chrome-lined and externally protected by a tough, matte-black oxide finish.

In real life the HK G36C is only available to Military and Law Enforcement. It is fast becoming a favorite of Special Operations Teams as it is one of the shortest assault weapons available in .223 or 5.56 NATO. A real G36C if you are lucky enough to get one the cost is near $2800.00 +. Why risk dangerous and expensive real firearms in the hands of untrained actors? What makes this airgun unique is that the top carry handle doubles as a mount for scopes or other accessories. Additionally there are spaced (pre-drilled) on the left and right side of the weapon for rails as well. There is a standard rail on the bottom of the hand guard to allow space for a flashlight or pistol grip. The vast use of carbon composite (non-metallic) parts on the real weapon lends itself to the airsoft version which makes for a super light and very compact weapons system especially useful in CQB scenarios.

SPECIAL NOTE: The biggest complaint in the airsoft industry these days that MFI hears at least twice per day is the supplying of substandard "El Cheepo" generic batteries with electric guns. This is a common practice of ripping of the customer by unscrupulous vendors. These vendors can offer lower prices as they supply substandard batteries (Non OME "ORIGINAL MANUFACTURE EQUIPMENT"). MFI could also buy these junk batteries ($2.75 to $4.00) that last only 2 months (if they even work at all when you get them) as many of you have called to buy batteries from us to replace these poor quality ones supplied by someone else. REST ASSURED that MFI supplies only OME batteries or Generic versions made under license of Tokyo Marui in the exact same battery factories that make Marui's using the exact same tooling and top quality cells as they do for Marui OME. There is a significant cost difference and a very good reason why MFI & Marui recommend using ONLY OME Spec batteries and chargers as substandard equipment can permanently damage your costly airsoft gun. Genuine Tokyo Marui or MFI Generic batteries are good for 2.5+ years at a minimum. In short you get what you pay for...

MFI upgraded airsoft guns have moved away from the over powered versions we did 5+ years ago that were only good for target shooting. As gaming with airsoft has grown we are forced to follow the current trends and customer requests for less dangerous airsoft guns. Thus all our upgraded guns are well within the limits / requirements for gaming.

Most of the air guns we sell are technically not "Air Soft" as these are all EXPORT MODELS that make use of slightly higher compression springs, motors and gears that would be illegal in most countries where air soft guns are manufactured. Additionally our particular air guns have been re-designed to accommodate the use of metallic (6mm) ammunition.

As this model is an electric airsoft gun you can expect the following in terms of MFI Custom Upgrades:

• Motors: Upgraded to the maximum physical size that the casing / mold will allow. (Varies from gun to gun.) Installed at the factory by trained factory technicians.

• Spring Rate: At current industry standard or increased (heavier spring) to be 10% - 15% above standard. (See above specifications for this specific gun in regards to FPS. Remember there is a variance from shot to shot, gun to gun, case to case in each production run of any individual model. Installed at the factory by trained factory technicians.

• Gears: Correct ratio to compensate for appropriate rate of fire but, more importantly upgraded to the maximum strength available for long life (All Metal / High Wear Life). This is the key to our guns out lasting anyone else's as well as our being able to offer a 45 Day Use Policy / Return & Limited Life Time Warranty. MFI has paid Tokyo Marui to re-engineer the standard gears in a much more durable material. As we own this tool and die these super heavy duty gears are NOT available to anyone other then MFI. Gears are made by Marui and installed at the factory by trained factory technicians.

Here at MFI we truly feel that the whole idea and beauty of airsoft is the fact that it is relatively safe and useable in areas where conventional bb guns or paintball guns can not be used. You would not shoot conventional bb guns in doors with little or no back stop and you certainly would not shoot paintballs in side your own home or garage.
