Brief Summary:
Pictured above is an actual MFI photo of " The Single Shot G3A3 STYLE AIRSOFT ". (Just as MFI supplies to the Professional Motion Picture Industry.) This product is state of the art in low volume air guns. Commonly known as Air Soft this model is single shot only. That is to say that you must physically cock the operating rod before each shot. The BBs used are the industry standard
6mm plastic type. In the real world the G3A3 is the backbone of many of the worlds military forces. A G3 variant i.e. G3A3, G3A4, G36, MC51 (HK 51), PSG-1 and SG-1 can be found in main stream and special operations teams around the globe.
SPECIAL NOTE ON REALISM: Although this product may look similar to the real thing when compared side by side they are NOT identical. While they may share some of the same cosmetic features / external shape the internal & external mechanisms for actual operation are in fact completely different from the real thing. Of course this is NOT are real weapon nor is it manufactured by HK (Heckler & Koch). The real weapon's manufacture has NO relationship to this airsoft product which is styled after the real thing. Thus any mention of or use of trade names is done in reference to the real weapon and NOT the airsoft product. No MFI offered product has any Trademarks or other IPR use on it. We do this to be sure that there is NO CONFUSION IN THE MARKET.
Please note that like most single shot air soft guns this model has a non-adjustable HOP UP. The HOP UP is set at maximum elevation to achieve best results at about 35 feet.
In real life the G3A3 is only available to Military and Law Enforcement. The G3A3 served as many of the Worlds Foreign Military's standard battle rifle virtually unchanged from 1960 to 1995. This is truly a workhorse in historical warfare seeing service all over the world by: German, South American, African and many Asian Countries. It was the standard issued weapon to many Ground Forces and a favorite of Law Enforcement Special Operations Teams as an affordable battle rifle. The .308 or 7.62 X 51 NATO caliber offers good ballistic characteristics for close, medium and long range shots. A real full auto G3A3 if you are lucky enough to live in a state where they are legal the cost is near $6400.00 +. Even the US semiautomatic version the HK 91 variants are $3,000.00+. Why risk dangerous and expensive real firearms in the hands of untrained actors? Or enjoy relatively safe indoor shooting year round. It is correct in size, feel and very near the real weight making this airgun ideal for training or collecting! Click here to learn more facts about Air Soft BB Guns.
What makes this airgun unique is it's low cost and good molded plastic parts. Unlike many other single shot rifles made by Tokyo Marui (like the M16A1, MP5A3 or XM177E2 - Colt CAR) the G3A3 is NOT predominantly uniform black plastic. It is rather 2 to 3 tone plastic with a mix of dark gray / black receiver and gas tube parts high lighted by a near correct to the real HK Green Furniture; i.e. stock, pistol grip and hand guards. MFI uses these as they are as background props as they are near indistinguishable from the real thing at 6-10 feet away. Being mostly plastic the weight is the most obvious give away. There is plenty of space inside to accommodate lead weights to increase the realism. As an airsoft single shot bb gun goes the dimensions are not exactly correct as on the more expensive electric models but, as a whole is a great platform to start with. The G3A3 differs from all other single shot airsoft guns in that it comes with a hi-capacity magazine. There are no standard G3A3 single shot magazines available. Unlike the electric hi-capacity magazines you can pre-wind these mags and load them into the gun and you are ready to shot. NOTE: All electric hi-capacity magazines must be placed in the gun and then wind up.
Just so there is absolutely “ NO CONFUSION IN THE MARKET PLACE” we have added this paragraph to clarify a number of points.
