This product is state of the art in low volume air guns. Commonly known as Air Soft this model is all electric and select fire (Semi & Full Automatic). That is to say that it is capable of both semi automatic and full automatic fire. The BBs used are the industry standard 6mm plastic type.
SPECIAL NOTE ON REALISM: Although this product may look similar to the real thing when compared side by side they are NOT identical. While they may share some of the same cosmetic features / external shape the internal & external mechanisms for actual operation are in fact completely different from the real thing. Of course this is NOT are real weapon nor is it manufactured by HK (Heckler & Koch). The real weapon's manufacture has NO relationship to this airsoft product which is styled after the real thing. Thus any mention of or use of trade names is done in reference to the real weapon and NOT the airsoft product. No MFI offered product has any Trademarks or other IPR use on it. We do this to be sure that there is NO CONFUSION IN THE MARKET.
In the real world the G3A4 is one of the most sought after G3 variants. A G3 variant i.e. G3A3, G3A4, G36, MC51 (HK 51), PSG-1 and SG-1 can be found in main stream and special operations teams around the globe.
NOTE: MFI makes a very big point about the Trademarks being removed when necessary. This is of course a requirement to avoid ourselves and our customers from ending up in a Federal Penitentiary for possession of counterfeit property. This can be done in a number of ways. For more information on this subject click here. The reason we mention this in this area is that MFI paid Marui to change the tooling on these models: G3A3, SG-1, MC51 and G3A4 AEGs so that there is nothing to remove, thus no scaring, putty or anything. Just nice smooth surface. Unfortunately we do not have the funds to have Marui do this for all the weapons we buy. Just another reason to buy this model from MFI. Your satisfaction and legal possession of any MFI product is 100% guaranteed!
The G3A4 is the middle weapon in terms of length of the G3 series as it has a telescoping stock. In real life the G3A4 is only available to Military and Law Enforcement. The G3A4 served as many of the Worlds Foreign Military's standard battle rifle virtually unchanged from 1960 to 1995. This is truly a workhorse in historical warfare seeing service all over the world by: German, South American, African and many Asian Countries. It was the standard issued weapon to many Ground Forces and a favorite of Law Enforcement Special Operations Teams as an affordable battle rifle. The .308 or 7.62 X 51 NATO caliber offers good ballistic characteristics for close, medium and long range shots. A real full auto G3A4 if you are lucky enough to live in a state where they are legal the cost is near $6400.00 +. Even the US semiautomatic version the HK 91 variants are $3,000.00+. This weapon has 2 to 3 tone plastic with a mix of dark gray / black receiver and gas tube parts. MFI uses these as they are as background props and close ups as they are near indistinguishable from the real thing at 1 foot away. Note: This model does not have a carry handle that is found on the single shot version but, the hand guard (like the real thing) does have a bipod lock up mechanism for mounting a bipod!
NOTE: Most parts on this model are interchangeable with the other electric G3 airsoft guns. Thus the receivers and internal parts on the G3A3, G3A4, MC51 and SG-1 are all identical and thus you will get the same performance from all three. The major difference between these models is that the G3A3 is made only once every 16-20 months so finding one in stock is very rare. The other G3s are made once every 1-5 to 2 years and the PSG-1 once every 17 months.
What we really like about this weapon is the really nice detail work including weld marks mocked up in the receiver and gas tube. Less costly and slightly more practical than the PSG-1 the G3A4 outfitted with a MFI Scope and Scope Mount plus the addition of a custom MFI M4 Fake Silencer make this a very attractive choice among the G3 series. We say custom as MFI would need to thread your barrel of your G3 in order to accommodate the silencer to fit on it as a plug and play item. Just so you know the SG-1, G3A3, G3A4 and MC51 all do NOT have threaded barrels at this time. We fully expect Marui to adjust this tooling in the next few years to have threads on it instead of the standard per-1998 flat spotted slide on version, which was standard in those days. Nothing wrong with this... just different from what is considered standard now for Marui. Never fear MFI will thread your barrel (likely you will want to buy a spare... we stock those too!) SPECIAL NOTE: The biggest complaint in the airsoft industry these days that MFI hears at least twice per day is the supplying of substandard "El Cheepo" generic batteries with electric guns. This is a common practice of ripping of the customer by unscrupulous vendors. These vendors can offer lower prices as they supply substandard batteries (Non OME "ORIGINAL MANUFACTURE EQUIPMENT"). MFI could also buy these junk batteries ($2.75 to $4.00) that last only 2 months (if they even work at all when you get them) as many of you have called to buy batteries from us to replace these poor quality ones supplied by someone else. REST ASSURED that MFI supplies only OME batteries or Generic versions made under license of Tokyo Marui in the exact same battery factories that make Marui's using the exact same tooling and top quality cells as they do for Marui OME. There is a significant cost difference and a very good reason why MFI & Marui recommend using ONLY OME Spec batteries and chargers as substandard equipment can permanently damage your costly airsoft gun. Genuine Tokyo Marui or MFI Generic batteries are good for 2.5+ years at a minimum. In short you get what you pay for...

MFI upgraded airsoft guns have moved away from the over powered versions we did 5+ years ago that were only good for target shooting. As gaming with airsoft has grown we are forced to follow the current trends and customer requests for less dangerous airsoft guns. Thus all our upgraded guns are well within the limits / requirements for gaming.
Most of the air guns we sell are technically not "Air Soft" as these are all EXPORT MODELS that make use of slightly higher compression springs, motors and gears that would be illegal in most countries where air soft guns are manufactured. Additionally our particular air guns have been re-designed to accommodate the use of metallic (6mm) ammunition.

Here at MFI we truly feel that the whole idea and beauty of airsoft is the fact that it is relatively safe and useable in areas where conventional bb guns or paintball guns can not be used.
