SPECIAL NOTE: This is the NEW HG MP5A5 / A4. This version replaces the standard MP5A5 / A4 as it has a number of improvements. This model has the all metal front & rear sight, plus many other new innovations! This product is state of the art in low volume air guns. The MP5A4 is identical to the MP5A5 but, with the addition of a solid stock. The MP5A4 is the longest version in length of the MP5 Airsoft Series (that does not have a built in silencer). The MP5K PDW and MP5K are the shortest and with the MP5A5 being in the middle. Commonly known as Air Soft this model is all electric and select fire (Semi & Full Automatic). That is to say that it is capable of both semi automatic and full automatic fire. The BBs used are the industry standard 6mm plastic type.
SPECIAL NOTE ON REALISM: Although this product may look similar to the real thing when compared side by side they are NOT identical. While they may share some of the same cosmetic features / external shape the internal & external mechanisms for actual operation are in fact completely different from the real thing. Of course this is NOT are real weapon nor is it manufactured by HK (Heckler & Koch). The real weapon's manufacture has NO relationship to this airsoft product which is styled after the real thing. Thus any mention of or use of trade names is done in reference to the real weapon and NOT the airsoft product. No MFI offered product has any Trademarks or other IPR use on it. We do this to be sure that there is NO CONFUSION IN THE MARKET.
First we need to cover what is NEW on this specific model! As you may have seen above and in our advertising we have added a few new items that have been in high demand since the Marui MP5A5 first came out in 1992. The following have been added for the inclosed reasons:
1 - MFI Standard MP5 AIRSOFT Magazine. This means you get 2 mags total with this product! We added this item to our standard set because we got so many requests / orders and questions about this product. We felt it was easier (and just good business) to include one FREE to buyers of this product.
Basically the MFI Standard Magazine for the MP5 Airsoft Series differs from the Tokyo Marui one in only that we have copied it in plastic instead of metal. Many customers want high quality products but, do not want to pay for a the Marui name. Our mags as RELIABLE as the Marui mags are (which is VERY RELIABLE). Ours are made in semi gloss black plastic to better contrast with the TM MP5 Airsoft. Many customers comment that at first they thought of painting the mag flat black to match the finish of the weapon. We thought this at first too but, we quickly realized that what makes a airsoft gun look more like a real weapon is the differing finishes found on most weapons. Granted in photos weapons all tend to look BLACK. But in real life / in front of you the tonal qualities and contrasting shades make for subtle changes in finish. The color, shade and texture are what really make the products come alive and look like the real thing. After all no live weapon is 100% a uniform color as they have a mix of anodized or painted aluminum parts and parkerized or black oxidized steel components.
Of course the BIGGEST ADVANTAGE of the MFI Magazine is the PRICE. Our mags are generally half the cost of a Marui mag. Not many customers want just one spare magazine. Most buy 6+ for what ever gun they own. More bang for the buck with an MFI magazine as they are so much more cost effective.

A few more metal parts. While not really significant there is now an all metal rear site. We would be remiss if we did not mention this.
MFI supplies the MP5A4 via taking a MP5A5 and swapping the telescoping stock for a solid stock at no additional charge. That is to say we keep the telescoping stock and install the solid one in its place. Due to this wiring difference we special order all our MP5A5s and MP5SD6s with duel power plugs - 1 plug in the hand guard for the telescoping stock versions battery and 1- plug in the butt plate which can be hooked up to with a wiring harness to run the battery in the stock if you so choose. We do not supply the wiring harness or large battery in this conversion, but you can get them as accessories from us. Call us for details.
NOTE: Standard Marui (non - MFI guns) MP5A5s and MP5SD6s as well as the MP5SD5 and MP5A4 do not have this duel plug system and thus can not be converted easily if at all as you have to re-wire the entire weapon. We had to make a choice here as it would be too costly to set it up both ways. The result is that you can convert with relative ease from one gun or the other with our A4 Solid Stocks or our SD Sets ONLY if you begin with an MFI Imported MP5A5 or MP5SD6. Here again MFI is looking out for the customer's best interests. In short you could buy an MP5A5 and the accessories A4 Stock and separate SD Set (discounted as you would be PMC)and be able to convert to any one of the 4 - above MP5 Airsoft configurations... 4 guns in one you might say.
SPECIAL NOTE: The biggest complaint in the airsoft industry these days that MFI hears at least twice per day is the supplying of substandard "El Cheepo" generic batteries with electric guns. This is a common practice of ripping of the customer by unscrupulous vendors. These vendors can offer lower prices as they supply substandard batteries (Non OME "ORIGINAL MANUFACTURE EQUIPMENT"). MFI could also buy these junk batteries ($2.75 to $4.00) that last only 2 months (if they even work at all when you get them) as many of you have called to buy batteries from us to replace these poor quality ones supplied by someone else. REST ASSURED that MFI supplies only OME batteries or Generic versions made under license of Tokyo Marui in the exact same battery factories that make Marui's using the exact same tooling and top quality cells as they do for Marui OME. There is a significant cost difference and a very good reason why MFI & Marui recommend using ONLY OME Spec batteries and chargers as substandard equipment can permanently damage your costly airsoft gun. Genuine Tokyo Marui or MFI Generic batteries are good for 2.5+ years at a minimum. In short you get what you pay for...
In real life a new MP5A4 is only available to Military and Law Enforcement. It is a favorite of Special Operations Teams as it is one of the shortest submachine guns available. A real MP5A4 if you are lucky enough to live in a state where they are legal the cost is near $7500.00 +. Why risk dangerous and expensive real firearms in the hands of untrained actors? MFI upgraded airsoft guns have moved away from the over powered versions we did 5+ years ago that were only good for target shooting. As gaming with airsoft has grown we are forced to follow the current trends and customer requests for less dangerous airsoft guns. Thus all our upgraded guns are well within the limits / requirements for gaming.
Most of the air guns we sell are technically not "Air Soft" as these are all EXPORT MODELS that make use of slightly higher compression springs, motors and gears that would be illegal in most countries where air soft guns are manufactured. Additionally our particular air guns have been re-designed to accommodate the use of metallic (6mm) ammunition.

Here at MFI we truly feel that the whole idea and beauty of airsoft is the fact that it is relatively safe and useable in areas where conventional bb guns or paintball guns can not be used. You would not shoot conventional bb guns in doors with little or no back stop and you certainly would not shoot paintballs in side your own home or garage. Airsoft is not intended to compete with either of these two other activities but rather is a super alternative when you do not want to go to the range or it is raining or what ever just to have a few quick minutes of fun.
