Brief Summary:
Pictured above is an actual MFI photo of " The Electric Thompson M1A1 AIRSOFT ". (Just as MFI supplies to the Professional Motion Picture Industry.) Please note that all non-theatrical versions we sell have the apropreate & approved DOC markings. This product is state of the art in low volume air guns. Commonly known as Air Soft this model is all electric and select fire (Semi & Full Automatic). That is to say that it is capable of both semi automatic and full automatic fire. The BBs used are the industry standard
6mm plastic type.
This is the first electric World War II airsoft made by the famous Tokyo Marui manufacture. From the Roaring Twenties and the introduction of the original Tommy Gun (1928 Thompson) the Thompson has won the hearts of everyone lucky enough to have the $29.95 to buy one from Sears & Roebuck when they first came out. The M1A1 is the WWII version which did away with luxuries found on the 1928 model like: Removable Stock, Drum Magazine 50 and 100 rounds, Cutts Compensater, Finned barrel for faster cooling and front pistol grip. These options were dropped to simplify the Thompson for serious mass production. Thousands were made each month during the war and both models saw action in all theaters of conflict as they were supplied to main line US troops as well as all Allied powers and most of the Underground units behind enemy lines.
In real life the M1A1 is only available to Serious Collectors, Military and Law Enforcement. Even though it is more than 50+ years old it is still used in some law enforcement departments. It was a favorite of Special Operations Teams even as late as the Vietnam War. This WWII SMG packed a very powerful punch at close range as it was chambered in 45 caliber. A real M1A1 if you are lucky enough to live in a state where they are legal; will cost about $10,000.00 +. Why risk dangerous and expensive real firearms in the hands of untrained actors? Or enjoy relatively safe indoor shooting year round. It is correct in size, feel and very near the real weight making this airgun ideal for training or collecting! What makes this firearm unique is its extensive history. What makes this airsoft SMG unique is the nearly all metal body and fantastic simulated wood. Marui has even out done their last plastic / wood project of the AK-47 series. The plastic simulated wood is just unbelievable. We can not imagine a better job being done by anyone. The fit and finish on this airsoft is top of the line. With every new year Marui out does themselves by adding more metal parts and higher detail; making for the highest quality products.
This item has been discontinued from our line up. We no longer stock or sell this product. This action was taken for a number of possible reasons: No longer available from the manufacture, No longer legally importable into the USA, No Longer Cost Effective to Import, No Federal Approval granted, Problems with it's operation or Lack of sales, etc. Finally this page will NOT be updated to match our existing format with added / superior information / data as this would be pointless.
Regardless of the reason(s) we at MFI do not believe in offering substandard, problematic or illegal items to our customers as it is a great disservice and undermines our dedication to our loyal customers and long standing reputation in the firearms & Airsoft Industries.
