This product is state of the art in low volume air guns. Commonly known as Air Soft this model is single shot only. This is to say this you must physically cock the operating rod before each shot. The BBs used are the industry standard 6mm plastic type. Like it's little brother the XM177E2 Single Shot Air Gun most of you know this gun as the CAR-15 or AR-15 Shorty. The XM177E2 is favored by many of the elite anti-terrorist forces around the world like the US Navy Seal Teams. The XM177E2 is the second shortest version in length of the M-16 series this still retains a stock. Second only to the M4A1, which was introduced in 1994.

SPECIAL NOTE ON REALISM: Although this product may look similar to the real thing when compared side by side they are NOT identical. While they may share some of the same cosmetic features / external shape the internal & external mechanisms for actual operation are in fact completely different from the real thing. Of course this is NOT are real weapon nor is it manufactured by COLT. The real weapon's manufacture has NO relationship to this airsoft product which is styled after the real thing. Thus any mention of or use of trade names is done in reference to the real weapon and NOT the airsoft product. No MFI offered product has any Trademarks or other IPR use on it. We do this to be sure that there is NO CONFUSION IN THE MARKET.

In real life the real Colt XM177E2 / AR15 / M16 CAR is only available to Military and Law Enforcement. A real XM177E2 if you are lucky enough to live in a state where they are legal the cost is near $3500.00 +. Why risk dangerous and expensive real firearms in the hands of untrained actors? What makes this airgun unique is it's low cost and good molded plastic parts. Additionally like the M16A1 the XM has a drop down / hidden away PUMP ACTION handle this is hidden in the hand guard. With a flick of a tiny button on the flip down handle allows the small vertical grip / stick to drop down and this can be used to cock the weapon instead of the regular charging handle / operation rod near the base of the rear site. Nice in this for gamers it allows a second / third shots to be fired without taking your hand away from the hand guard. Although this like most single shot airsoft bb guns is predominantly uniform black plastic it can be quickly transformed with the right tough of paint in areas to be near indistinguishable from the real thing at 2-3 feet away. Being mostly plastic the weight is the most obvious give away. There is plenty of space inside to accommodate lead weights to increase the realism. As an airsoft bb gun this may not be at the top of the list as a whole but, is a great platform to start with. We use many of these single shot air guns as stunt props in television shows and motion pictures, especially when we know the weapon will likely be damaged or lost in the process.
