For Conventional Scopes ( Hunting or Sniper ): Generally speaking the 30mm rise Ring will accommodate a conventional scope with an OBJ up to 42mm where the 38mm rise Ring will accommodate up to a 58mm OBJ.

Height / Rise: Heavy Duty Cantilever Ring is available in 30mm & 38mm rises. This means that from the top of the rail / flat top / scope mount surface to the center of the 30mm diameter is 30mm or 38mm.

Co-Witnessing: Meaning using in conjunction with another weapons site or night vision.

  • 30mm The lower edge just clears the top of the front site. Any Aim Point / Red Dot / Halo Site should have an unobstructed view.

  • 30mm The red dot / center of an Aimpoint ML2 or the MFI QRS is about 3/8 inch above the top leading edge front globe site. The lower 1/4 of the site picture has the top 1/4 of the globe site still in it. To achieve a lower view you would need to use our Super Low Profile 30mm standard scope ring. The SLP ring has less than a 3mm rise but, still does NOT allow co-witnessing with the iron sites.

  • 38mm The red dot / center of an Aimpoint ML2 or the MFI QRS is about 5/8 inch above the top leading edge front globe site. The lower edge just clears the top of the front globe site. The see through hole does NOT allow co-witnessing with iron sites when used in conjunction with the MFI HK Low Profile Scope Mount.
