• It will not ware out your weapons eye bolt / sling swivel point. We deliberately make these out of a 4000 series aluminum alloy and paint and or anodize the them so that the hook wears out before the eye bolt on your weapon. As you can imagine if we made the hook bodies out of titanium and applied a super hard powder coat paint job... You would be replacing the sling swivel point on the weapon or at the very least scratch and s#$@* out of your weapons finish. It is far cheaper to replace a $5.00 sling hook than a hard mounted / welded eye bolt on your weapon's frame @ $175.00 and re-finish the receiver to match. Remember the attachment of any accessory (even a magazine) will scratch your weapons finish. So you can expect some wear on your weapon at the point of contact.
