Mil. Spec. Type III Class 2 Hard Coat Black Anodize.
The Side Locking Plate & Over Size Thumb Down Nuts are Grade 4 STEEL.

Rail Length & Height:
- Minimum Height of 0.740 / 18.80mm tall.
- Maximum Length is 5.325" / 135.25mm.
- STANO Based Scopes: Holes in the top 4.250" / 108mm center to center.
- 100% Mil. Spec. 1913 Picatinny: Accommodates any Weaver Scope Ring or Picatinny Accessory.
- Tolerance held is + / - 0.001 (less than the thickness of a piece of paper).
Mid-Range Profile: Meaning that the profile in height is meant specifically to accommodate owners of HK MP5s, G3s and ARs to just clear the front site for a 75% clearer view of the target. Low profile meaning 0.740 (18.8mm) rise from original mounting surface / rail / your flat top.
By far the best riser on the market. We are sure you have seen the crap that is out there for the same price as ours. FORGET rough casings, stupid drift pins used for anti-recoil stops and Non Mil. Spec. profile dimensions or even incorrect spacing in the cuts in the rail. The MFI Riser is 100% correct in shape and size so that you owners of the high end quick release throw levers from Swan or ARMS. YES finally a COST EFFECTIVE riser that is built to true Military Specifications i.e. 1913 Picatinny!
SPECIAL FEATURES:
- See Through Mount:
  Please note that in my own opinion I do NOT give much value to any see through scope mount or ring. Real operators are trained to remove & discard any damaged / non-operational part of a weapons platform. In short... you take cover and spin off the riser or mount via the specifically designed no tool required thumb knobs... toss the damaged optic on the ground and continue the fight with a set of clear / unobstructed iron sites. Trying to find a target, identify it correctly as hostile, take precise aim and fire while looking down through a very small tunnel in any ring or mount is counter productive and in the real world might cost you your life.
  That being said... The consumer market for all mounts and scope rings almost require the mounting system to have see through capability.
  - HK G3, 91, 93, 94, MP5 and PTR-91 Owners: When used in conjunction with our HK Low Profile G3 / MP-5 Scope Mount it is designed so that the riser will allow you to see through the center portion clearly. Meaning: You can use your Iron Sights without removing the riser and scope.

  - SIG 556 Owners: Not really recommended, but can be used. The see thru tunnel on the riser is too low to be used as the see through but, we have a channel cut through the top of the picatinny rail section that does allow a viewable area for the iron sites underneath the base of the scope ring. Minimum at best but, worth mentioning. A preferred method of mounting a conventional or sniper style scope for any SIG 556 applications would be by using our MFI Tall HD Sniper Scope Rings which do give you 100% see through capacity.
  - Beretta CX4 Strom Rifle Owners: Similar situation to the SIG 556 above. Not really recommended, but can be used. The see thru tunnel on the riser is too low to be used as the see through but, we have a channel cut through the top of the picatinny rail section that does allow a viewable area for the iron sites underneath the base of the scope ring. Minimum at best but, worth mentioning. A preferred method of mounting a conventional or sniper style scope to a Beretta CX4 would be by using our MFI Tall HD Sniper Scope Rings which do give you near 90% see through capacity.
  - AR15 / M-16 Owners: The see thru tunnel on the riser has zero use on this weapons platform. The 0.740 rise from the rail is very applicable as it gives you the lowest possible rise that still allows you to mount a scope in conjunction with low to mid height scope rings or an EOTech and not have the riser block the iron sites if you choose to remove the ringed scope or EOTech and leave the riser in place. For these applications the riser gets you just over the front stanchion / AR style triangle front sight. Giving you a clear view of the target area, while still allowing for fast / quick detachment of the riser via the over sized thumb knobs in a matter of seconds.
    As with most conventional scope applications the fewer mounting points / devices between the weapon's receiver and the optic the better. Thus, like the SIG and CX4 above the referred method of mounting a conventional or sniper style scope to an AR 15 would be by using our MFI Tall HD Sniper Scope Rings. In this application you do NOT get any see through capability as the front sight on the AR is way too tall but, when using these rings you do stay low enough to mount a 52mm OBJ scope without hitting the flat top rail and as long as your scope is over 3 X power the front sight tower is completely blown through / invisible due to the magnification effect of the scope.
Ample Length from Mounting: 5.35 inches long (136mm). So that most any conventional standard scope or Aim Point will have plenty of adjustment for eye relief.
No bull#$@! Counter movement locking mechanism like the crappy drift pin facing downward under the mount to keep it from moving backwards on the rail under recoil.
Ours has a genuine Mil. Spec. single cross over spline that gives you 100% lock down. We looked all over the market and 80% of the risers we saw had substandard stabilization devices used on them. Obviously not designed by someone knowledgeable in the firearms industry.
Our MFI Riser has a single anti-recoil spline going across. The single spline is what most high end manufactures are using now as it allows greater mobility in adjustment especially if used in conjunction with non Mil. Spec. rails. Single Splines are obviously wider and have a much higher tensile strength than what is normally used on lesser quality mounts.
Extra Wide Knobs (steel) with mil Spec. knurling for quick and secure grip even in the most extreme conditions with or without gloves. Inside knob has positive locking / anti-loosing material commonly known as self locking. Thus it will not come loose during tactical operations or extreme heavy use like during automatic weapons fire. Also slotted for a flat head screw driver for those of you who are totally paranoid about this issue.
Cool looking! No bulky edges / Flat blunt cuts / Not just a box with slits.
