Many of you have seen this style of silencer in Motion Pictures or on the TV News, as they are used by the US Armed Forces World Wide. As MFI is a Military Contractor we have the real thing here to take all the correct measurements off to assure as close a match as possible. The only areas where we deviate from the original is in length (obviously we need to cover as much of your barrel as possible) and the lettering is changed slightly so as not to violate Knights Armament Intellectual Property Rights.

NOTE: The weapon just below the UZI is the new SW SP10. Only time will tell what the barrel diameter is on this model.

We have TWO different Versions of this item so please read closely. The ONLY difference between the two versions is the inside diameter of the fake silencer.

UNLIKE our other SOCOM & M4 Fake Silencer models this version does NOT have any adapters as it is specifically designed to SLIDE OVER & HIDE THE BARREL.

Materials of construction:

Entirely made out of Aircraft Grade Aluminum. To keep these as LIGHT WEIGHT as possible we use similar methods of construction as the real silencers. The Outer Tubes are made from stamped plate 6061 T-6 aircraft aluminum to allow the extreme radius on the end of the tube to be formed. The Inner Sleeve with the 4 knurls inside it extends from end to end thus complying with BATF in regards to NO ACCESS to the inner cavity / air gap. The Inner Sleeve is CNC machined from billet 7170 T-6 aircraft aluminum to assure lightweight and durability. The inner sleeve and outer tube are PERMANENTLY ATTACHED together also to comply with BATF regulations. Any tampering with this item to separate the two parts will result in the tearing / destruction of the outer tube. We deliberately use very thing aluminum for the tubes so that they basically self destruct if tampered with. We deliberately did NOT use steel for the inner sleeve to keep the weight in check as well as the fact that the bullet when fired only travels past less than 0.5 inch so NO added durability was needed.

Depending on the model (as mentioned above) this inner diameter is either 0.630 or 0.815 inches at the widest point. Both models have a step down in the inner sleeve near the end / exit hole to keep the barrels from sticking out the front of the fake silencer. We do this for a number of reasons:

• To give a firm seat in which the barrel can rest and be centered correctly.

• To allow us to use 2 different step down sizes to accommodate 2 different barrel diameters and thus 2 different weapons. The UZI / HK94 has two step downs (one for each) and the HK USC version has only the one for that specific barrel diameter.

• To force the user to completely slide the entire length of the fake silencer over the exposed barrel (otherwise it would NOT automatically center the exit hole.

Once the fake silencer is slid completely on the exposed barrel the user then tightens the 3 set screws that are located in the second to the last flat area in the knurled area. These set screws are hardened steel and have cupped ends for superior grip / no slip with minimal scratching or marking of the original barrel. In case you lose a set screw we have chosen a standard size common in the USA and available at any LOWES or ACE Hardware store in the country. Size is #8-32 TPI and are 1/4 inch long. You will need a 5/64 allan key to tighten these.

The set screws are arranged in a triangle pattern so that you can use them to center your barrel inside the sleeve in seconds.

You have to be willing to have some small marks left in your barrel's finish made by the set screws. Otherwise there is NO WAY to attach the silencer to your barrel. Please do not call us to argue this point... Unless you have a real answer to this problem. Last we checked there was no magic rubbing potion to adhere metal to metal and still remaining removable. Yes we have thought about shims & tape... but they can cause as much damage as the screws...

In short.. The set screws are designed to give superior contact with minimal scratch / dent / mark to your barrel. The exact amount of mark left on your barrel is 100% dependent on the amount of torque / how tight you screw the setscrew down. We design these to work on live weapons with little concern about leaving the barrel unmarked / like new. These are for shooters / users not the finicky collector. I (the owner of MFI) have personally used these on several weapons and find that any minor mark is hardly noticeable and of little consequence to a serious shooter.

It should go without saying that you should re-check the tightness of the set screws from time to time as a safety issue.

As the markings are very small and thus very difficult to photograph (sorry our digital camera does not have a macro setting for extreme close ups) we have provided you with the exact words below. We have tried to adjust the font size so that it is in the correct /relative ratio as well.

SPECIAL NOTE ON MARKING POSITION: All SOCOM fake silencer markings REGARDLESS of model / version will end up reading left to right from the right hand side of the weapon. (So if you see any photos of SOCOM Fake Silencers with lettering that reads any other way just note that those are obsolete photos.)

The ENTIRE product is acid etched to simulate the special semi anti-glare effect found on the real thing. After the acid etching these are hardened anodized with the same semi flat deep black -blue color that is currently military spec. for the real silencers. All tubes for BOTH VERSIONS are labeled / marked the same (see above for exact markings) per mil. spec. requirements (same method as the originals are marked) via laser etching through the anodization. Just another reason why our silencers are far better than the el-cheepo airsoft versions that use decals or paint that wears off easily for lettering.

Maximum Outer Diameter: = 35.0mm or 1.380 inches.

Maximum Inner Diameter: = (SEE ABOVE PER SPECIFIC MODEL).

Maximum Length: = 225.8mm or 8.75 inches.

Weight: 7.5 ounces for the UZI / HK94 version and 5.5 ounces for the HK USC model. Far lighter than any real silencer of the same size.

NOTE: These do NOT suppress sound in any way and are 100% legal for the regular civilian to own in all 50 US States.
